Hi. I'm wondering if anyone can answer my question before I contact Barracuda's tech support.
The other day I was able to get through my Barracuda Web filter even while logged out (and under a non-whitelisted ip. That's notsupposed to happen, right?
I was testing an Apple TV who couldn't get out to the internet (the solution I found was another story). At the time I was wondering if the webfilter was blocking it, so I tested it's whitelisted static ip on my laptop, then logged out of the web interface to doubly make sure I was only on the ip. Worked fine, like expected. Then I switched my laptop back to DHCP (and got an ip that definitely wasn't whitelisted) and I could still get out to the network.
Why on earth could this happen? Does Barracuda have some caching thing based on your MAC address or something?
