One of my colleagues asked this question of Barracuda directly and didn't get a positive answer. :-)
Basically, we're beginning to onboard our clients to Barracuda's cloud-based ESS product. Because it's so simple, we use LDAP to bring in the initial email addresses. This is very convenient for obvious reasons.
However, Barracuda's own technical docs state that creating user accounts this way does not generate the welcome message one would get if I created a user manually. This message says, in general, "Barracuda is protecting your email! Hooray. Click here to go to your quarantine." It may even play a Heart guitar riff.
I'd like to know if anyone knows of a way to generate that welcome message on-demand.
