we have put a reverse proxy server into operation, which processes the HTTP traffic to our Exchange Servers. Our Barracuda firewall operates between the proxy server and the Exchange server. Now we are detecting events that show the IP address of the proxy server as the source IP. The details of the event do not give the original IP address. Two questions: Which logfile in the Barracuda records events of the IPS filter? Can the Barracuda show the original IP address of the request? The proxy server sends this IP address in a header field X-Forwarded-For.
