I want to do something wacky here... I'm wanting to NAT (SNAT) an internal IP address to an external (Internet) IP address on machines that do not have a default gateway using my Barracuda F280 firewall.
It pains me to type the following but the reality of the setup here is we have a network 192.168.1.x that has machines on it that we do not want to access the internet. So to stop them we do not place a default gateway on their NIC card settings and Wa-la! no internet for you!
Now I come along and say hey I want users to be able to get to msds's online via the websitehttps://msdsmanagement.msdsonline.comeven if they are on the "no internet" machines. So why not setup a NAT that says anyone trying to reach internal IP address 192.168.1.60 the firewall passes on to 104.16.51.57 - sounds reasonable, right?
