We have one Barracuda 390 backup appliance and would like to copy the backups to a drive of our own for storage.
I know about the backup export tool but it is not working regularly and I get the impression it is deprecated and not fully reliable for anything other than Yosemite.
It seems we should be able to just automate a copy of the backups for offsite storage onto a removable drive on another system without making any more purchases. I think we can attach storage directly to the appliance but am uncertain as to why we didn't do that. I'm going to look back into that. I think we ran into an issue when we did.
Alternately, it occurred to me that maybe we can access the drive in the Barracuda device using FTP or any other protocol and have a script or any program like AOMEI download the backups automatically to our removable drive on...
