I purchased 2 Barracuda LinkBalancers about 5 years ago; a couple of months ago one of them failed and I replaced it. Now the other has failed and I'm questioning if I should bother buying another Barracuda. I think it should have lasted more than 5 years. I have Cisco and HP equipment that is 10+ years old and still chugging along.
I need the dual WAN for "fail over" and not much else. It is being used on a public access network with 40 workstations and 2 servers, nothing mission critical to protect here as the Staff network is completely separate.
What are you guys using for a dual WAN solution and are you happy with it? Would you agree that the equipment should last more than 5 years or am I being unrealistic?
Thanks for your input.
